The name Lady Gaga was created completely by accident, when Rob emailed her a text message which was intended to be named "Radio Ga Ga," but the smartphone automatically changed it to Lady. So the stage name Lady Gaga came to be. Germanotta refused to remain being called by her first name from there on, and is going solely by the name Lady Gaga at this moment, and presents herself as Gaga.
