Freestyle music is also known as Latin Hip Hop. Freestyle is a form of electronic music often using electronic drums and other synthesized beats. I became familiar with this style of music in the late 1980s when it was very popular. I was in college at the time and had a friend who was really into dance music. In fact, he was a DJ. I heard these songs on the radio, in dance clubs, and on cassette tapes.
